How to Get the Weed Smell Out of the Room/Apartment?
1. Baking Soda Hack
One of the methods that I personally like to get the weed smell out of my apartments is the eco-friendly ingredient known as baking soda. I try to keep everything as natural as possible with curious, naughty kids at home. These chemical formulas can prove to be life-threatening for your kids. So, baking soda is my number one choice for getting that stubborn weed smell out of my apartment.
All I do is sprinkle liberal amounts of baking soda on the couches and underneath the carpets at night and vacuum away the white powder in the morning. Plus, I add some of the baking soda in small paper bags and place them at certain points in my house so that all other foul odors can get sucked up by the baking soda within. And that is how my house smells fresh and cool all the time.
2. Let The Air In!
Yes, that’s right! Fresh air can help you eliminate all kinds of foul odors, including weed out of your house or apartment, whatever the case may be. Usually, when you smoke in confined places, the smoke gets accumulated, and with no place else to go, it settles down and clings to the furniture and carpets. Thus, making it almost impossible for you to get rid of it.
So, always try to smoke weed outside your house, but still, if you have to smoke inside your home, the least you can do is open up the windows and let fresh air in. This provides excellent ventilation and lets oxygen in and stale air out. For me, it is a morning ritual to open up the windows of my apartment early morning before even my kids wake up!
3. Air Freshener
Air fresheners do a great job covering up the weed smell to a great extent. You can find many different air fresheners in the market with all sorts of scents to choose from. They come with various price tags and multiple brands. It all depends upon your pocket and personal preference which ones you buy. Moreover, you can find them easily on the grocery store downtown. They are freakishly familiar these days.
Now coming to what I, being a possessive mom, like personally. As I mentioned earlier, I don’t really like using chemicals at home. So what I do is use natural ways to make my apartment smell fresh and radiant day and night. For starters, I purchase a few jasmine flowers on my way back home from my morning run every day and put them in a wide bowl. Then I add some water to it and keep it in my living room. The mild scents linger all day and are one hundred percent natural and toxin-free.
4. Wipe The Furniture Clean
Another excellent way to get that stinking weed smell out of your apartment is by wiping everything up with a good sanitizer. Here again, you get two options; you can either purchase a good sanitizer from the market or make one yourself. Either way, you can effectively get that reeking stink out of your home. In case you decide to purchase a sanitizer from the market, I suggest you do your homework and search the product for any harmful ingredients before you go ahead and buy it.
However, if you are like me, then you must be looking for a DIY sanitizer that you can easily prepare with the product readily available at home. One of my favorite DIY sanitizers is the one I make with white vinegar. All you have to do is get a spray bottle, and half fill it with white vinegar. Fill the remaining empty bottle with clean distilled water. Now, shake the contents well, and Voila! Your very own DIY sanitizer is ready.
